Off Tackle Sports Management:
Off Tackle Sports Management represents over 30 professional athletes from IRL Indy racing to the NFL. All facets of representation are included; contract negotiations, legal services including litigation and estate planning. A close working relationship exists between the firm and financial advisors including real estate and tax service professionals.


Law Offices of J.P. Miller, Jr:
The focus of the legal practice is plaintiff's civil litigation. Some limited defense work is accepted. Included areas of experience: Contract litigation, Real Property/Real Estate litigation, Personal Injury litigation, Wills/Trusts, Corporations, Criminal defense including constitutional law search and seizure motion hearings.

PERSONAL:
Jim was born and raised in San Diego, California attending Valhalla High School where he earned multiple varsity letters while competing in football, soccer, baseball, wrestling and track and field. After high school he attended San Diego State. Jim redshirted his freshman year in his attempt to make the San Diego State Baseball team. Subsequently he went on to win three varsity letters while throwing the javelin for the track and field team. Jim was ranked second in the Western Athletic Conference and in the top 20 nationally prior to an elbow injury which ended his athletic career. It was in fact this circumstance that sent Jim on the path to law school and subsequently the founding of Off Tackle Sports Management.

It is with this substantial athletic background and experience that allows for proper evaluation of a player's talent and potential. Often you will find Jim on the track or in the gym overseeing his client's training.

Jim's family consists of his wife Barbara, newborn daughter Jamie, and his parents, Jim and Diane Miller who still reside in San Diego as well as his brother and sister in law, Damian and Shelby Miller and their sons, Logan, Gavin, and Roman. Jim Miller, Sr. is considered to be one of the most talented and respected civil and domestic litigation attorneys in Southern California. Diane Miller is an avid fundraiser for numerous charities in San Diego County. Damian Miller is an international fund trader with the Brandes Investment Partners of Del Mar, California.

Jim enjoys a wide range of hobbies and activities and believes strongly that an individual must be well rounded in both mind and body to be successful. Among Jim's activities he enjoys deep-sea fishing, skiing, golf, reading Tom Clancy novels, coaching his step-daughter's soccer team, watching John Wayne films and he is SCUBA certified.
